    Alexis Liu, Managing Partner
    Alexis has nearly 20 years experience in areas that include business strategy, operations, product development, research design, market study and international business in a variety of industries including information technology, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, digital media, agriculture and mechanical manufacturing. Prior founded SynMatrix, he was CEO of InfoTek Media (Taiwan) and Digital Bus (Canada), both concentrated on developing innovative multimedia applications. Alexis also had extensive scientific research experience in the application of neural networks while worked with Agri-Canada and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Liu holds Master degree in Cognitive and Neural Science from Boston University and Master degree in Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts.

    Charles Yeh, General Partner, New Media
    Professor Yeh is a veteran game development executive as well as a popular instructor and book author in the educational institutes greater China.  He co-founded and serves as the Director of Technology at Digitao Media (Canada), a firm concentrated on developing computer game design training curriculums and international game development outsourcing. Charles was the Vice President of R&D at InterGrafx International Asia-Pacific, supervised many acclaimed mobile entertainment content development. In 2007, Charles was invited by Ministry of Information Industry, China as the member of National Game and Animation Experts Committee. Charles holds Master Degree of Computer and Information Engineering from University of Southern California.

    Lawrence Wong, General Partner, Clean Tech
    Lawrence  has over 20 years of waste to energy, alternative energy business development and real estate consulting experiences. He started up and overseen a Canadian Biofuel R&D company that went public. He also assisted in the business development of a commercial 1.2 megawatt steam power plant at a landfill site in Texas. He has syndicated and completed real estate transactions worth over C$50million. His primary contacts include alternative energy industries (waste to power, ethanol synthesis and bio-diesel), Malaysian palm oil industries, Canadian government funding agencies and Canadian real estates.  Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA degree from Simon Fraser University. 

    Marcos Lin, General Partner, Information Technology
    Marcos is a Brazilian national with over 13 years of experience in team building, project planning and execution in the finance and information technology area.  Prior joined SynMatrix, he was the vice president of Morgan Stanley in their Information Technology department, he managed team of business analysts and programmers delivering balance sheet, risk management and electronic message exchange system critical to the Fixed Income Derivative processing area.  He was lead manager in charge to establish relationship with vendor in India, and later assembled an offshore team focusing on delivering application development and support for Morgan Stanley’s office worldwide in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney. 

    Milton Chen, Ph.D. General Partner, Nutraceuticals and Pharmaceuticals
    Milton brings over 16 years of biochemical engineering experience in scientific research, engineering, manufacturing and project management for natural microbial/botanical products. He was the general manager of Fujian South Bio-Technology (China), chief chemical engineer of Phytogen Life Sciences (Canada) and research scientist in Academia Sinica (Taiwan). His broad experience included laboratory/pilot scale operations, technical transfer, product design/formulation, quality control/assurance, GMP compliant operation and regulatory affairs for nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals in the regions of US, Canada, Taiwan and China. Milton holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University of Queensland in Australia.

    Sammy Sun, General Partner, Telecommunication
    Sammy is the founder of Ducom Technologies (Canada & China), he has more than 19 years of experience in telecommunication industry. His proven track records of success as a senior marketing and sales executive in several multinational companies included SR Telecom and Nortel (China JV) earned outstanding sales record achievements. He have participated every stages of the evolution of Chinese telecom industry, involved product sales from switches, microwave / wireless, optical fiber, ATM, broadband access, mobile communications to software associated services. In his nearly two decades of works, Sammy established very  high profile business networks with telecom carriers, Ministry of Industry & Information, research institutes, bankers, state power grid and many government authorities. Sammy holds a Master degree of Electrical Engineering at Central China University of Science and Technology, China.

    Steve Zhu, General Partner, IT & Financial Investment
    Steve has more than 17 years of experience in telecommunication, IT and multi-media industries. His broad experience included technical transfer, product development, project management, marketing, business development and investment. Before joining SynMatrix, he served as Vice President at Aaahaa Media, a leading entertainment data and back-end service operator for Chinese IPTV industry; the Deputy General Manager of China Netcom, Beijing. In the past few years, He worked closely with the Ministry of Science and Technology and has coached many brilliant Chinese start-ups in the areas of rich media mobile application, internet security and cloud computing. Steve holds a MBA at Tsinghua University and a Bachelor degree of Computer and Telecom at Nanjing University of Post & Telecommunications, China.

    Prof. Guo-Yu Li, Oil & Gas
    Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Science, former Head of Crude Oil and Gas Resource Bureau of China National Petroleum Corporation and took part in the discovery of major oilfields in China included Karamay, Daqing, Shengli, and Dagang. Won the National Special Award for Scientific-technical Progress in Bohai Oilfield. Prof. Li  wrote 35 petroleum geology related books included the acclaimed “China Atlas of Oil and Gas Basins” and “World Atlas of Oil and Gas Basins” and has published more than 84 important research papers and articles in various professional journals in the US, Russia, Britain and France. Prof. Li was also a professor of China Petroleum University, Xian Petroleum College, Texas University, and Siberian University.

    James Stufflebeam, Petroleum
    James is the founder of International Power and Energy Group & Rubystock Petroleum and CEO of the Madison Companies. He has more than 40 years’ experience in subsea completion, well completion, platform Installation, drilling systems, subsea tie back systems, catastrophic response and evaluation . Jame's thorough knowledge covers all phases of the offshore & onshore drilling, production, equipment industry plus solid engineering knowledge of API workmanship.

    Shen Shichang, Advisor, Oil & Gas
    President of Kaifeng spark oil drilling and Technology Development in China. Inventor of a low pressure natural gas pumping gas production plant (Sichuan Province shallow gas exploration and development company) , the device is now greatlywidely being used for natrual gas wells with pressure less than 2MPa, by applying Mr. Shen's inventuon, the production can be enhanced up to 600%.
